Elephants are known to interact with the remains of deceased herd members, sometimes gently touching the bones with their trunks and lingering around them. These behaviours have been observed as part of their responses to death and loss.
God has created His creatures with remarkable capacities for attachment and responses to loss. How much more does God care for those who suffer? He is Emmanuel—God with us—present even in our darkest moments.
As we pray, we remember that intercession is not simply bringing requests before God; it is also entering into the burdens of others with compassion, standing in the gap, and trusting the God who sees and responds.
Scripture: “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” — Romans 12:15

The LWGLM Prayer Team, launched in 2023 under the leadership of Pastor Mrs Titilope Okuneye, has grown into a vibrant community of intercessors standing in the gap for nations, families, churches, communities, and different spheres of society.
Through prayer and practical expressions of compassion—including prison outreaches and orphanage ministry—the team demonstrates that intercession is not passive. It is an active Kingdom assignment that carries people and situations before God.
As the team looks towards greater impact in 2026 and beyond, we pray for greater depth, greater reach, and greater spiritual fire.
1. Pray for the Altar of Intercession
Thank God for the grace given to the LWGLM Prayer Team to stand in the gap for others. Pray that the altar of intercession over the ministry will never grow cold, but will remain continually fuelled by faith, love, and devotion to God.
Scripture: “The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out.” — Leviticus 6:13
2. Pray for a Fresh Baptism of the Spirit of Grace and Supplication
Pray that every member of the Prayer Team will experience a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit—a deeper burden for souls, greater sensitivity to God’s voice, clearer spiritual discernment, and greater precision in intercession.
Ask God to deepen their prayer lives and teach them to pray according to His heart and purposes.
Scripture: “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication.” — Zechariah 12:10
3. Pray for the Multiplication of Intercessors
Ask the Lord to multiply intercessors within LWGLM and raise men and women in every sphere of society who recognise prayer as a vital Kingdom assignment.
Pray for intercessors in families, churches, businesses, schools, government, communities, and other areas of influence who will faithfully stand in the gap.
Scripture: “I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night.” — Isaiah 62:6
4. Pray for Tangible Fruit from Intercession
Pray that the intercessions of the team will produce tangible Kingdom fruit—salvations, healings, restoration, breakthroughs, transformed communities, and positive developments in the nations and situations for which they pray.
Ask God to help the team recognise His answers and faithfully steward the testimonies that emerge from the place of prayer.
Scripture: “Then he led me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple.” — Ezekiel 47:1
5. Pray for Greater Outreach Capacity
Ask the Lord to expand the outreach capacity of the Prayer Team so that they can reach more prisons, orphanages, hospitals, vulnerable families, and overlooked communities.
Pray for the resources, volunteers, partnerships, wisdom, and opportunities necessary to combine prayer with practical expressions of Christ’s love.
Scripture: “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.” — Isaiah 61:1
“Every prayer lifted in secret has not been lost or ignored before God. The Lord is storing every cry and every intercession, and in His appointed time, answers will be released in abundance like rain upon the earth.”
We declare that the altar of prayer over LWGLM will burn continually.
May intercessors arise with renewed strength, deeper revelation, and greater spiritual authority. May their prayers become channels through which lives are changed, families are restored, communities are transformed, and nations are impacted.
Every seed of prayer will bear fruit. Every faithful intercessor will receive fresh strength. And every appointed answer will come in God’s perfect time.
